Current status: Well, currently I am in my final year and I have already gotten a placement in Mayur suitings in Rajasthan. I don’t know if I am up for the job yet, as you will read the reason behind it below.

Life after JNV: After leaving JNV, I went to Delhi (at Narayana institute to be particular) for the preparation of engineering. Successfully, after that I got to the college through AIEEE and at the moment, I am in my final year of B.Tech.

Most memorable memories of JNV for me:
  • well, every moment was memorable for me. Among many I can come up with a few such as cluster games, winning games and quizzes for our houses, youth parliament etc.
  • Life becomes more interesting when you are in love (after class 10th), and it becomes very hard to spend even a single day without seeing her. It’s a memorable memory, but it more like a sweet pain. Actually, we used to argue a lot with each other and my friends used to tease me with her name. We seldom agreed on certain topics and I don’t know how she became so close to me, I guess it was just a process. Funny thing is that, I still don’t know if she likes me or not, but I still have feelings for her and every single second spent with her was an awesome moment of my life, which I am never going to forget. It was indeed my first crush.
Things I miss the most about JNV:
  • I miss the way we live in JNV. Heavy breakfast in the morning (Rice fry) and sleep in the class.
  • Hanging out with friends all the time, starting from waking up till going to sleep everyday.
  • Going outside the campus (of course by jumping off the boundary wall) for swimming, marketing etc.
  • All the volleyball matches and believe it or not, I also do miss fighting over silly topics with my friends. Well, it was not so much of a fight but serious arguments I would say.
Things I won't miss about JNV (at least no so much):
  •  Well, long navodaya prayers, boring lectures from our principal sir and of course taking the exams.
One thing I would change about our school, if given a chance:
  • I would like to remove the fee paying system, but I guess its beyond our reach. Since, I have learned a lot in my schooling than in my college life, and its all due to the excellent academic environment. I would like to make this environment more beautiful and clean for coming generations of JNV students, e.g. real practical work in the labs, proper use of the library and also improving the teaching system even further.
Near future goals I am working on and how: I am planning to go for the civil services, and soon I will do that. I have started my preparation from my very second year of my B.Tech degree. I think I can relate better to Naskar’s situation considering this.

Lines from me to my lovely juniors (still in JNV): Dear brothers and sisters, enjoy every moment of your navodaya life, because you are going to miss your beautiful life at JNV so badly after you graduate from there. The sweet and sour memories from there would become more beautiful if you do well after and in the school. So my advice to you would be that you work hard and focus on your ambitions. If you face any difficult situations then please don’t hesitate to get in touch with your senior bhaiyas and didis.
